Le Pied jaloux
(sutitle: Beauty Excitement ! Striking Arrangements ! Somptuous Lonelywood !)
After Les Danses de Poupées de belles-mères Sophie Perez offers Sophie Lenoir this unex- pected solo drawn from her unique repertoire. The dancers’ gestures, in the manner of elo- quent and unpronounceable witticisms, res- onate pertinently with this carte blanche piece inspired by a scene from The Afternoon of a Faun, but in which the faun is female.
In Le Pied jaloux, Sophie Lenoir simply throws down a challenge to form, content and theory.

Perez, Sophie
After graduating from ESAT art school in 1990, Sophie Perez was awarded a residency in scenography the following year at the Villa Médicis. Her work on atypical places and texts, which she tests through theatre, started at this time. She founded the Zerep Company in 1997 and began staging shows where styles and genres overlap. Sophie Perez designed the scenography for several of Frédéric Bélier-Garcia’s productions.
She has regularly collaborated with Xavier Boussiro, namely for Deux Masques et la Plume (2010), Oncle Gourdin (for the Avignon Festival in 2011), Enjambe Charles (2013), Prélude à l’agonie (2014) and Biopigs (2015).
Centre national de la danse, Réalisation
Since 2001, the National Center for Dance (CND) has been making recordings of its shows and educational programming and has created resources from these filmed performances (interviews, danced conferences, meetings with artists, demonstrations, major lessons, symposia specialized, thematic arrangements, etc.).

Meeting with literature
Collaboration between a choreographer and a writer can lead to the emergence of a large number of combinations. If sometimes the choreographer creates his dance around the work of an author, the writer can also choose dance as the subject of his text.
