a parking,

a playground,

a dock…

États des Lieux was born from the wish to commit outdoor places with music and dance. Each spot creates a new space-time, generating a new musical and choreographic creation. Leading the audience to a new perception of a place. Everything is suspended on the now. The place is taken out of the ordinary and resonates for a special moment.

Music and dance come together in a threesome. A percussionist and two dancers, a man and a woman, share the same space and communicate. Through History, social function and architecture of the chosen spot, the artists find new ways to mix their arts. They constantly challenge the moving bodies and presence.

Passing by, reaching for a look, brushing against, meet, create a relation, build, set rules, setting free, deconstructing.

They find new dynamics, possibilities and limits and fine tune their common language to unveil a singular surrounding. The audience, witness to the investigation, can be part of it, depending on its location. Close to the comedians, a game about distance and intimacy arises, building the plot of the play.

The places are tools, they generate diverse interactions between the artists and the audience.

Fragile or strong, the three comedians give a touching but sometimes dangerous performance.

Née en 1990 à Bordeaux, Julia s’est formée à la danse contemporaine au CNSMD de Lyon entre 2008 et 2012.

En 2012, avec Thomas Demay et Paul Changarnier, Julia a cofondé le collectif A/R en concevant la performance in situ Etats des Lieux. Depuis ils continuent de questionner et d’écrire pour l'espace scénique ou dans l’espace public: h o m e (2017), L'homme de la rue (2018), Les îlots (2019), PLACEMENT LIBRE (2020) et  everything is temporary  (2020). Leur projets se développent et voyagent en France, en Europe  (Norvège, Espagne, Allemagne, Angleterre, Italie..) et à l’étranger  (Suisse, Burkina Faso, Russie..).

En parallèle, Julia est danseuse interprète pour d’autres compagnies: Cie Willi Dorner - Bodies in urban spaces (2012), Cie Samuel Mathieu - R (2014), Magnétique (2015) et Guerre (2017), Cie ALS Cécile Laloy - Clank’s (2015), Cie Arrangement Provisoire Jordi Gali - Orbes (2017), Babel (2019) et la prochaine création (2021).

Born in 1977, Fabien Plasson is a video director specialized in the field of performing arts (dance , music, etc).

During his studies at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Lyon (joined in 1995) Fabien discovered video art. He was trained by various video artists (Joel Bartoloméo Pascal Nottoli , Eric Duyckaerts , etc).
He first experimented with the creation of installations and cinematic objects.

From 2001 to 2011, he was in charge of Ginger & Fred video Bar’s programming at La Maison de la Danse in Lyon. He discovered the choreographic field and the importance of this medium in the dissemination, mediation and pedagogical approach to dance alongside Charles Picq, who was a brilliant video director and the director of the video department at that time.

Today, Fabien Plasson is the video director at La Maison de la Danse and in charge of the video section of Numeridanse.tv, an online international  video library, and continues his creative activities, making videos of concerts, performances and also creating video sets for live performances.
