Air

Music and Movement create a space in which four figures evolve in relation to each other. The interspaces are gradually compressed; trios, duos, solos arise from a situation of feeling constricted, being expressed by a struggle with the material. “Air” is a work in progress piece reflecting a search for a new MusicDanceTheatre.

Schwarz, Nina

Nina Schwarz lives and works in Switzerland and on the road. Her paintings are distinguished by layers and transparency and they are consistently linked to music and motion. During her studies of Art Master at Hochschule für Kunst und Gestaltung Luzern, she spent one year at Hochschule der Künste Berlin with Prof. K. Gonschior (Fine Arts and Painting). The time in Berlin had a profound impact on Nina’s work and set off her lasting relatedness to this city. With her Lucerne diploma in her hands, she started her advanced studies in Fine Arts and Painting with Prof. F. Badur at Universität der Künste Berlin. A scholarship of UdK Berlin enabled her to participate in the KlangKunstBühne Berlin art project and in the following, she attended summer academy several times. Concurrently, she was influenced by years of personal studies by Norma Bühler Lucero Luzern, Calixto Bieto Berlin/Barcelona, Prof. J.Vasiljev Berlin/St.Petersburg, Prof. J.Rasinski UdK Berlin, Prof. N.Sharp Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, Eva Burghardt Berlin and some others. Nina realised many projects as a painter, drawer, illustrator (ninanera.net) and performer. 2013 she created the play "Air" with Elma Riza and KOLLEKTIVTRANSIT.

Riza, Elma

Born in 1986 in France, she is visual artist – improviser and performer. She works and lives in Berlin since 2007.

Elma Riza studied Fine Arts and costume/stage design at the Art School of Weissensee. Engaged in directing, video, performance and also in costume design. Directs the artist group ORT Paris-Berlin since 2007. 2010 founding of the Compagnie Zwischenwort – Looking for MusicDanceTheatre with Benedict Bindewald, which has become KOLLEKTIVTRANSIT in 2012. Since 2010 she has been working in dance improvisation, in group and solo.

Between 2007 and 2011 she worked mostly with video and photography. Then she started to study improvisation – instant composition with different choreographers and performers. In 2014, she  started to develop a series of solo installations-performances, research which connects her experience in instant composition and her visual work. Besides, she founded Imprévu Berlin – Interdisciplinary Platform for Instant Composition and opened her research to collaboration with other visual artists, dancers, performers and sound designers. Since 2016 she developed a series of research projects based on site specific and ephemere installations or sculpture-objects. In parallel, she continued to explore her performative work, questioning our habitual perception of space.
