Kaskadanse

From 1984, Pierre Deloche worked with the young hip-hop dancers he met on the Z.U.P. set of Minguettes (Vénissieux). Kaskadanse is the culmination of his unique challenge, that of bringing together two worlds, that of smurf and that of contemporary dance.

Break-smurf is choreographed by Fred Bendongué and Zoro Henchiri.

Deloche, Pierre

It was first in the United States, with Merce Cunningham and John Cage that Pierre Deloche learned to dance. In 1983, He received the Medici Prize for his solo Dancing Sounds. Back in France in 1984, he created his company and signed many choreographies.

In 1997, he studied Human Sciences, the Alexander technique and Body-Mind Centering ©, which led him to reorient his choreographic research. On the one hand, he developped a work dedicated to motor and sensory disabilities, on the other hand the invention and the implementation of Civil Creations: artistic and civic acts with the inhabitants, for the public space, in the sharing of a quality of presence.

Bendongué, Fred

Fred Bendongué, choreographer and performer since 1987, acknowledged and acclaimed in 1994 during the Biennale de la danse in Lyon, and recognized by the profession on the other side of the Atlantic in 1996 with his “Mama Africa”, which received the Bessie Award, has forged a unique personality through dance.

He is part of this generation of dancers who live for challenges, and he has constantly taken on challenges in creativity, in exchanging and in encounters. From the street to the stage, Fred Bendongué gained his experience through hip-hop, which he rapidly exalted and which led him to be invited as soloist for the ballet Roland Petit. He trained in classical dance with the greatest teachers, fashioned a signature, an indelible signature that has made his movement successful, full and charged with emotion. He continued his route and studied capoeira and Congolese rumba.

All urban forms of dance appeal to him, as he comprehends the essence and knows how to reinterpret their beauty. For Fred Bendongué, dance is a means of integration and emancipation.

Henchiri, Zoro Ouanes

Zoro Henchiri is a choreographer. He is, with Ruchdi Hachichi of the company Traction avant, one of the pioneers of the hip hop movement in the Lyon region before creating his own company. His dance borrows as much from break dancing as from the gestures of Japanese butoh.

Traction Avant

Traction Avant Compagnie was born from a march, a movement, a political aspiration to bring out words, bodies, faces that were struggling to find their place within the French republic. First led by Marcel Notargiacomo, then Marc Bernard, today it is Slimane Bounia who directs the company.
