Öper öpis
For Öper Öpis, Zimmermann & de Perrot called upon five highly-skilled circus artists and dancers.
The setting is an unstable stage which can flip to better or worse each time a performer moves. Through this one-of-a-kind scenography, we follow the (extra)ordinary adventures of people who form a couple. These plain, everyday partners are faced with a third unknown element, with an unfamiliar person or situation that ends up destabilizing them. First of all, this “other” surprises then becomes enticing yet threatening. The encounters are delicate, ephemeral, spectacular, even audacious, and oblige the characters to take risks.
With great affection and humour, Öper Öpis recounts the insignificant and significant dramas of everyday relationships, this everyday life where everyone knows that they can very quickly push anyone, and everyone, beyond their depth.
