Le titre annonce le propos : Rapides, comme la vitalité ordonnée et jaillissante de la Water Music enregistrée par Jordi Savall, qui accompagne la pièce, ou comme les jets d’eaux parfaitement architecturés des fontaines baroques. Pour incarner cet élan fécond, Bruno Benne convoque une toute nouvelle génération de dix interprètes dont l’énergie sans cesse renouvelée fait écho à la puissance rayonnante de la musique. La chorégraphie, tout en affirmant une modernité intemporelle, puise dans les arts du XVIIIe siècle une double injonction de symétrie et de profusion. En résulte une fascinante vision orchestrale de la danse, aux espaces-temps démultipliés et aux jeux de variations hypnotiques, qui répond aux effets de boucle opérés sur la partition musicale d’origine par le compositeur Youri Bessières.
« Garder vivant cet art baroque, c’est continuer de faire exister une tradition et un héritage dans un perpétuel mouvement », soutient Bruno Benne. Rapides en fait brillamment la démonstration.

Performer and choreographer specialised in baroque dances, BRUNO BENNE is developing a contemporary approach of that style to reinvent it today in new forms and thus provide a modern vision of baroque art.
He has been dancing for Béatrice Massin and Marie-Geneviève Massé since 2005. In 2012 he collaborated with Lucinda Childs for the creation of choreographies of Alessandro.
A regular guest abroad (United-States, Norway, Greece, Poland, Canada, etc.), he passionately shares his knowledge during workshops and collaborations.
In 2013, Bruno Benne founded the company Beaux-Champs, création baroque to pursue his reflection on creation based on the baroque heritage, transmission and influence.

Since 2001, the National Center for Dance (CND) has been making recordings of its shows and educational programming and has created resources from these filmed performances (interviews, danced conferences, meetings with artists, demonstrations, major lessons, symposia specialized, thematic arrangements, etc.).
