You are you

A  man and a women start dancing in a café on a fairy tune sounding at  first like a music box. Then the music gets louder and the atmosphere  disturbed as a ghostly voice slides into the music like a doomsday  prophecy threatening the close tie between the dancers. You are you and I  am me, you're the second person and I am the first, when I say YOU my  lips move to you, when you say ME your lips move inside me...

Brice, François

After briefly studying architecture, François Brice followed the training offered by the Angers CNDC from 1989 to 1991. In 1992, he danced in Paris for Philippe Decouflé and William Petit before joining the company Ultima Vez directed by Wim Vandekeybus in Brussels with which he collaborated until 1997. Since 1998 he has developed his own personal choreographic research and has pursued his career throughout the years as an interpreter with various choreographers and directors including Michèle Noiret, Philippe Blanchard, Fatou Traoré, Giorgio Barberio Corsetti, Lies Pauwels, Michèle Anne De Mey and Ambra Senatore. He shows a particular interest in the Cinema and the Visual Arts. Film images are incorporated in his performance proposals in a quest for dialogue and narrative interaction. In these creations, he regularly collaborates with musicians.

The committed artist

Parcours

In all the arts and here especially in dance, the artist sometimes creates to defend a cause, to denounce a fact, to disturb, to shock. Here is a panorama of some "committed" choreographic creations.
