La Minute du spectateur (2021) : Xie Xin

The Spectator's Moment

The Spectator's Moment or how to discover an artist, a piece of work or a company in just two minutes. It is a collection of programmes produced by the Maison de la Danse in Lyon and presented by Dominique Hervieu. Each episode is devoted to an artist or a company that is programmed at the Maison de la Danse and offers the public keys or artistic benchmarks for better understanding and appreciating the choreographic art.

Xin, Xie

Xie Xin is the founder and artistic director of the XDT. She collaborates with the Shanghai International Dance Center as a jury member of the Lotus Prize, China’s largest contemporary dance competition. She is guest professor at Shanghai Sports University, guest choreographer at Shanghai Dance Com-pany, Hessische Staats Ballet (Wiesbaden, 2019) and at Balletboyz Dance Company (London, 2019).Before founding her own company in 2014 and starting her career as an independent artist, she worked as an interpreter at Guangdong Modern Dance Company, Shanghai Jin Xing Dance Theater, Beijing Tao Dance Theater and at Beijing Dance LDTX. She participates in art festivals in about thirty countries and is notably the interpreter of Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. Her choreographic works have won numerous awards in China and abroad. In 2013, she won the Choreography Silver Award, the Best Performance Award at the 2nd Beijing International Ballet and Choreography Competition. In 2015, she was awarded the Silver Award and the Audience Award at the 29th edition of the Hannover Inter-national Choreography Competition in Germany

Plasson, Fabien

Born in 1977, Fabien Plasson is a video director specialized in the field of performing arts (dance , music, etc).

During his studies at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Lyon (joined in 1995) Fabien discovered video art. He was trained by various video artists (Joel Bartoloméo Pascal Nottoli , Eric Duyckaerts , etc).
He first experimented with the creation of installations and cinematic objects.

From 2001 to 2011, he was in charge of Ginger & Fred video Bar’s programming at La Maison de la Danse in Lyon. He discovered the choreographic field and the importance of this medium in the dissemination, mediation and pedagogical approach to dance alongside Charles Picq, who was a brilliant video director and the director of the video department at that time.

Today, Fabien Plasson is the video director at La Maison de la Danse and in charge of the video section of Numeridanse.tv, an online international  video library, and continues his creative activities, making videos of concerts, performances and also creating video sets for live performances.

Deschamps, Tiffanie

After training in video editing, Tiffanie Deschamps made her debut in television. From the start, she never ceased to build bridges between her work as an audiovisual editor and her activities as light manager and assistant director for live shows with the Mac Guffin collective. Co-founder and co-director of the Théâtre de l'Uchronie in Lyon since 2013, she naturally comes to portray theatrical and choreographic pieces, and to tell the dance, in particular within the Maison de la Danse de Lyon and during cultural events such as the Lyon Dance Biennale.
