Double Take

Lourenço, Filipe

Dancer and choreographer, Filipe Lourenço was born in 1976, in Bourges.
 After studying the lute and Andalusian-style Arabic music, he played many concerts with the El Albaycin orchestra for several years. During that same period, he practiced and then taught traditional North African folk dancing. In 1997, he entered the Centre national de danse contemporaine in Angers (CNDC), then signed his first contract in 1999 with Olivier Bodin. Since then, he has worked with different choreographers like Patrick le Doaré, Catherine Diverrès (new version of San,and original productions of Cantieri, Solides, Echo and Blowin), Georges Appaix, Joëlle Bouvier, Nasser Martin-Gousset (Péplum, Comedy, I Want You and Pacifique), Michèle Noiret and Olivier Dubois. In 2009, with the performers Laurie Young and Giota Kallimani, he created The Plant Collective, and produced two dance pieces, Trente and Double Take. 

Pardillo, Rafael

After working in Madrid with the Spanish choreographer Carmen Werner (Provisional Danza), he left for France to follow the training of the C.N.D.C l'Esquisse d'Angers, from 1992 to 1994. He discovered the work of Block & Steel, Bernardo Montet and Dominique Bagouet. In 1992, alongside his studies, he began working with the company L'Esquisse Bouvier-Obadia, and until 1998 he participated in all the creations of the Bouvier/Obadia tandem.
In 1999, he chose to continue his collaboration with Joëlle Bouvier. At the same time, he created three pieces in collaboration with Emilio Urbina, within their company Nod Dance Company.
In 2005, he joined Catherine Diverres' team and participated in all her productions until the end of the company.
From 2007, he went to England to join the DV8 Physical Theater company to participate in the creation and touring of the show “To be straight with you” until December 2009.
In 2011 he was invited to be part of The Plant Collective to create “Double Take”.
2012 he meets the Olivier Dubois company and will participate in the play “Tragedie.
2017 He goes to Greece to work with Ermira Goro and Hannes Langolf on the “Dandelion” Project.
Between 2019-20 He co-wrote a duet with the dancer and choreographer Capucine Goust “Intimiteiten”.
2022 He creates his first solo “AFTER YESTERDAY” for the Festival Bien Fait!
In 2009 he obtained the D.E. state dance teacher diploma.
Since then, he has given internship courses, workshops and Master Classes, in different places, such as in Paris, the Menagerie de Verre, Micadanses, high schools and conservatories.
Also works in two theater schools, La Salle Blanche and L’école du jeux (Paris).

Urbina, Emilio

Began his dancing career in Madrid with Carmen Werner (Provisional Danza) and participated in the company's various creations before coming to France to follow training at the CNDC in Angers (L'Esquisse) in 1992/94. In this school he discovered the work of Simon Mcburney, Sankai Juku, Jose Limon, Block & Steel, Bernardo Montet, Dominique Bagouet, among others. Alongside his studies, he joined the Compagnie L’Esquisse/Bouvier-Obadia. Since then, he has participated in the creation of several pieces by Joëlle Bouvier as a performer and assistant.
He has also worked with Bernardo Montet (CCNRB), Aurélien Richard, Sylvain Groud, Kubilaï Khan Investigation, Blok and Steel,
Eric Oberdorff, Panagiota Kallimani....
He created three pieces in collaboration with Rafael Pardillo within their company Nod Dance Company and was part of The Plant Collective to create “Double Take”.
Currently he continues to work with: Fabrice Ramalingom (R.A.M.a.), Lionel Hoche, Catherine Diverrès and Christian and François Ben Aïm.
Throughout his career, Emilio Urbina has taught in different structures in several countries around the world.

Kallimani, Panagiota

Panagiota Kallimani lives in Paris, where she has worked with important choreographers including Joëlle Bouvier and Josef Nadj.

Centre national de la danse, Réalisation

Since 2001, the National Center for Dance (CND) has been making recordings of its shows and educational programming and has created resources from these filmed performances (interviews, danced conferences, meetings with artists, demonstrations, major lessons, symposia specialized, thematic arrangements, etc.).

The Plant Collective

The Plant Collective was created in 2009 by three performers, Panagiota Kallimani, Filipe Lourenço and Laurie Young, during the Athens Festival. After their first work, Trente (2009), the group welcomed the performers Emilio Urbina and Rafael Pardillo and created another work called Double Take (2011).
