Foudres

Foudres is the last part of what Canadian Dave St-Pierre calls his triology on love, following on from La pornographie des ames, and Un peu de tendresse bordel de merde!, created in 2004 and 2006 respectively. The three works were programmed on alternate days at the Theatre de la Ville, and Foudres is arguably the least dreary of the three.

St-Pierre, Dave

Dave St-Pierre danced with, among others, Brouhaha Danse, Jean-Pierre Perrault and Daniel Léveillé (1994 -2004). In 2004, he founded the Dave St-Pierre Company. The pieces "La pornographie des âmes" (2004), "Un peu de tendresse bordel de merde" (2006) et Foudres (2012) are presented in several prestigious theaters and festivals such as the Festival D'Avignon, Le Théâtre de la Ville de Paris and the Sadler's Wells Theatre in London. Dave has been invited to create pieces on several occasions, including one solo, "Versuchperson 2.0" (2013) for the Austrian dancer Silke Grabinger presented ImPuls Tanz in Vienna, and the direction of "Macbeth / Bastard" (2015), a show inspired by Shakespeare's Macbeth for the Schauspiel Frankfurt. He collaborated with Brigitte Poupart on several projects, including the show "What's Next" (2011) and the film "Over my dead body" (2012). Dave participates as a mentor and choreographer in the show "Détruire, nous allons" (2013) of the young director Philippe Boutin. Since 2013, he began with his sidekick and artist Alex Huot to conceive and direct short videos, bonding choreography, collage and digital image animation, under the pseudonym DEARDEERyoudie.
