Eggermont, Emmanuel

Emmanuel Eggermont trained in contemporary dance at the National Centre for Contemporary Dance (CNDC) in Angers (class of 1999). He went on to participate, for three years, in the creations of the Spanish choreographer, Carmen Werner, in Madrid.

In 2002, he was invited to South Korea to take part in a project mixing pedagogy and choreography. Fascinated by this culture, he decided to settle there and choreographed several pieces of work.

Upon his return to France in 2005, he became a performer for Raimund Hoghe, with whom he shared an interest in dance that hit the all-essential, in particular in “Bolero Variations” and in “Si je meurs laissez le balcon ouvert”.

In 2008, Raimund Hoghe choreographed the solo entitled “L'après-midi” for him.

At the same time, Emmanuel Eggermont pursued his own choreographic projects with the Anthracite Company in Lille.

In 2007, he created the solo “1/8” and, since 2010, he has been in residence, in parallel, as an artistic researcher for the L'L (Brussels).
