Masters degree in physical education – Polytechnic University of Madrid.
Classical and contemporary dance in London, Barcelona and Madrid with Christine Tanguay, Carmen Roche, Julia Estévez, Hans Zülig, Anna Koren, Mathilde Monnier, Viola Farver, Julie West, Kevin Smith, Jean François Duroure.
Since 1987, when she established her company Provisional Danza, until today Carmen Werner has created more than 60 choreographies, 4 video-dance and short format films.
Carmen Werner/Provisional Danza’s work has been awarded with several prizes:
2000 Culture Prize for Dance. Madrid Regional Government.
2001 Third Prize of the Onassis International Competition for Original Choreography.
2001 Honor Mention for the video “La noche, marejada de un cuerpo”. XIII Cinema Festival of Girona.
2007 National Dance Prize (Creation Category). Ministry of Culture of Spain.
