Pan-Pot ou Modérément Chantant

Pan-Pot ou Modérément Chantant

Pan-Pot ou modérément chantant

Pan-Pot (def.): A process that allows one or more sound sources to be moved in a room (from the verb “to pan across” and from “pot” which is the abbreviation of potentiometer).

In his wish to explore the intimate links uniting musical composition and writing for juggling, Pan-Pot covers the repertoire for Piano from Johann-Sebastian Bach through to the contemporary composers Ligeti and Kagel. Here the rhythm and the line dominate, in complete coincidence with the piano’s proposals. Balls fly in a perfectly-honed mechanics.

Pan-pot or moderately singing? An interior for worthy solitudes and gallant relationships. The juggler vanishes behind the trajectories of his balls, as taut as violin strings, rhythmic and clacking, suspended and airy. A world of musical and graphic perceptions opens up to us, proof of a powerful and singular beauty.

Plasson, Fabien

Born in 1977, Fabien Plasson is a video director specialized in the field of performing arts (dance , music, etc).

During his studies at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Lyon (joined in 1995) Fabien discovered video art. He was trained by various video artists (Joel Bartoloméo Pascal Nottoli , Eric Duyckaerts , etc).
He first experimented with the creation of installations and cinematic objects.

From 2001 to 2011, he was in charge of Ginger & Fred video Bar’s programming at La Maison de la Danse in Lyon. He discovered the choreographic field and the importance of this medium in the dissemination, mediation and pedagogical approach to dance alongside Charles Picq, who was a brilliant video director and the director of the video department at that time.

Today, Fabien Plasson is the video director at La Maison de la Danse and in charge of the video section of Numeridanse.tv, an online international  video library, and continues his creative activities, making videos of concerts, performances and also creating video sets for live performances.

Collectif Petit Travers

Artistic direction : Nicolas Mathis et Julien Clément

Creation : 2003

Collectif Petit Travers was founded in 2003. Since 2011, artistic directories have been jointly promoted by Nicolas Mathis and Julien Clément. The activity of Collectif Petit Travers is mainly centered on the creation and distribution of large-format juggling pieces and the resulting pedagogical transmission, but included until 2012 also more marginally the creation of dance / performance pieces. They are very open to other artistic forms, and many collaborations have enriched their work: Jérôme Thomas for circus arts, Pierre Jodlowski and Sébastien Daucé for music, Maguy Marin and Joseph Nadj for dance. This curiosity nourishes their artistic language with new kinds of expressiveness.
