The Spectator's Moment
The Spectator's Moment or how to discover an artist, a piece of work or a company in just two minutes. It is a collection of programmes produced by the Maison de la Danse in Lyon and presented by Dominique Hervieu. Each episode is devoted to an artist or a company that is programmed at the Maison de la Danse and offers the public keys or artistic benchmarks for better understanding and appreciating the choreographic art.

Magni, Marcello
Born in Bergamo in Italy, Marcello Magni studied at DAMS in the University of Bologna, but fled to Paris where he began his theatre training. A graduate of the Ecole Jacques Lecoq, he pursued his studies with Pierre Byland, Philippe Gaulier and Monica Pagneux. He is an actor, director, director of movement and instructor (Ecole Jacques Lecoq).
Co-founder of the Complicity Theatre in London, he has worked there for twenty years and created his first shows there.
At the same time, he has worked with other companies, developed an interest for Masque and the Commedia dell’arte, and has appeared in productions by Marivaux, Molière and Ruzzante. He recently created a solo performance of "Arlecchino" in collaboration with Jos Houben and Kathryn Hunter. Marcello has also played in "Fragments", with Jos Houben, and has directed the corporal work for “A Magic Flute", two shows directed by Peter Brook. For television, Marcello Magni appeared in "Act Without Words" by Beckett on Film-C4, directed by Enda Hughs.

Houben, Jos
Jos Houben (b.1959) is a Belgian native. He studied at L’École Jacques Lecoq and with Philippe Gaulier, Monika Pagneux and Pierre Byland. An original member of Complicité, he co-created and performed in "A Minute Too Late" and collaborated on many other projects with Annabel Arden, Simon McBurney and Liso Bauer. Jos was a director and co-writer of the cult comedy troupe "The Right Size" (which won Laurence Olivier Awards for Best Entertainment 1999 and Best New Comedy 2002) playing in the West End and Off-Broadway. For Thames TV he created and performed "Mr Fixit", a silent slapstick TV comedy for children. He was also creative director and associate producer for Ragdoll TV’s Brum – "The Magical Little Car". He created and performed "Quatre Mains", a theatre piece for four hands with Andrew Dawson. He has collaborated with Greek contemporary music composer Georges Aperghis on several shows in Paris, including "Commentaires", "Zwielicht", "Paysage sous Surveillance". He has directed for Theater YBY in Salzburg, BPZoom in Paris, Les Flamiches Noires in Belgium, and performed in "Fragments", directed by Peter Brook. In 2013 he co-created "Répertoire" by Mauricio Kagel for the Théàtre d'Arras and the Bouffes du Nord with Françoise Rivalland and Emily Wilson. Jos is currently working with Jean François Peyret on "RE:Walden" qui jouera en en 2013 dans le festival officiel à Avignon et en 2014 au Théâtre de la Colline. Jos’ conference/one-man show, "The Art of Laughter", has toured the world many times over. He is a teacher, director, devisor and consultant with comedy troups, opera companies, circus schools, workshop festivals, dance schools, universities and magicians worldwide. Plasson, Fabien
Born in 1977, Fabien Plasson is a video director specialized in the field of performing arts (dance , music, etc).
During his studies at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Lyon (joined in 1995) Fabien discovered video art. He was trained by various video artists (Joel Bartoloméo Pascal Nottoli , Eric Duyckaerts , etc).
He first experimented with the creation of installations and cinematic objects.
From 2001 to 2011, he was in charge of Ginger & Fred video Bar’s programming at La Maison de la Danse in Lyon. He discovered the choreographic field and the importance of this medium in the dissemination, mediation and pedagogical approach to dance alongside Charles Picq, who was a brilliant video director and the director of the video department at that time.
Today, Fabien Plasson is the video director at La Maison de la Danse and in charge of the video section of Numeridanse.tv, an online international video library, and continues his creative activities, making videos of concerts, performances and also creating video sets for live performances.
