Interview with Tina Valentan
Tina Valentan is a selected modul-dance artist. Presented by Plesna Izba Maribor, she was selected for the project in 2011 to develop "Working Title". Interview done in October 2012 during a modul-dance conference in Tilburg.

Valentan, Tina
Tina Valentan (1978) completed her studies at the Theaterschool – School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam, in 2007 after performing on the Slovenian dance scene for several years. She has demonstrated her dance expertise in numerous local and international performances, touring festivals such as Citiy of Women Ljubljana, Pitchwise Sarajevo, Act Festival Bilbao, Its Festival Amsterdam, Masdanza Gran Canaria, Nagib Maribor, Gibanica Ljubljana, Platforma Maribor, 4GO – the programme of the Krisztina De Chatel Dance Company. She currently lives and works as a freelance artist in Slovenia, doing her own work, commissioned choreographies for theater and musical plays and teaches dance. Her development marked processes with a dramaturge Aleksandra Blagojević and colleagues Nina Fajdiga and Jamsina Križaj. She recently became a member of the collective Federacija (Snježana Premuš, Andreja Podrzavnik and Gregor Kamnikar) under whose production she co-worked as a performer in an intermedia performance “Doubler”, directed by Snježana Premuš. Her last work “Why can't I leave you” was a collaboration with Urška Vohar, produced by Maska – Institute for Publishing, Production and Education.
