BROTHER

BROTHER

BROTHER

After the arresting Hu(r)mano, Da Silva Ferreira continues to explore genealogy in BROTHER,  looking for affinities and similarities that are passed through the  generations. For this piece, the Portuguese choreographer drew  inspiration from ethnic-dance videos before his company helped sculpt  the movement. The piece – from animalistic solo to mass effects that  join and disjoin bodies – takes the audience into the field of physical  memory, in a dialogue with the live music of Rui Lima and Sérgio  Martins.
